Why has Tiger Woods ended his association with Nike?

Tiger Woods is back in golfing action and he is doing it in style as he launches his new clothing line for the PGA 2024 year.
Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer, has recently stepped into the world of fashion with his brand-new apparel line, aptly named “Sun Day Red.” This venture comes after Woods’ 27-year partnership with Nike, marking a significant transition in his career.

This new line comes out after a new collaboration with Taylor Made. It operates independently, a move that many other athletes have done before. Similar to what Michael Jordan did with Nike. This will give Woods total control of the brand, which seems to be the reason why he parted ways with Nike.

The name itself seems to carry a sense of nostalgia and significance for the golfer. Throughout his life, the color red has played a pivotal role. From his early days as a junior golfer to representing Stanford University, where red is the dominant color, red has become synonymous with his identity. Now, with “Sun Day Red,” Woods aims to channel that powerful connection into a line of clothing that reflects both performance and style.

It started with a passion. The passion of competing. Of competing against ourselves. The field. The course. Life. Out of that passion, Sun Day Red rises.

Mark your calendars for May 1, the official launch date of “Sun Day Red.” This new line promises to redefine what golfers and fashion enthusiasts expect from their apparel. The line features never-before-seen patterns, innovative fabrications, and meticulous technical detailing.

Unlike other collaborations, “Sun Day Red” stands as a stand-alone business unit under the TaylorMade umbrella. In addition, Tiger Woods will be at the Genesis Invitation this coming week. It will be his first 2024 outing in this year’s PGA tour.
