Golfer hyperventilates to catch big news from Charlie Woods

Tiger Woods’ son Charlie Woods will aim to qualify for his first PGA Tour event this week.

Tiger Woods’ son Charlie Woods, 15, will compete in an 18-hole qualifying match on Thursday, February 22nd at Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida. Woods Jr.’s 18-hole qualifying course is one of four pre-qualifying spots for next week’s Coulant Classic.

Charlie is the son of 82-time PGA Tour winner Tiger Woods, who was forced to retire in the second round of his return to the PGA Tour last week at the Genesis Invitational. Woods, 48, cited illness as the reason for his recent WD on the PGA Tour, but speculation is rife as to when the 15-time major champion will play.

But back to the original story. Woods’ son, Charlie Woods, is about to play in his first PGA Tour event. The news came as a shock to the enthusiastic Wood.
