Tiger Woods relationship came as a surprise to many as when he and his girlfriend attended to cheer on Serena Williams.

Tiger Woods, the renowned golfer, accompanied by his partner Erica Herman went to back their dear friend Serena Williams during the second round of the US Open on August 31st.

Sitting in the section exclusively designated for Serena’s family at Arthur Ashe Stadium were Tiger Woods and his girlfriend, along with Anna Wintour – the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Magazine – as well as Venus, who is Serena’s elder sister.

Attentive was the golf superstar as they watched the match, which pitted Serena against Anett Kontaveit—a fellow top contender in the tournament.

Upon the Williams sisters’ victory of the first set, he was observed leaping to his feet and energetically waving his arms.

For several years now, Tiger Woods and Serena have fostered a close friendship. During numerous past US Open competitions, the golf icon would make his way to the court in support of the seasoned female tennis player.

Last month, Serena wrote a letter about retirement for Vogue where she disclosed seeking advice from Tiger Woods before making her comeback at Wimbledon this year.

In spite of experiencing a string of back and leg injuries, the superstar managed to emerge victorious at the 2019 Masters. Moreover, Tiger recently made his comeback to golf following a severe accident in March.

During the spring, I was eagerly anticipating returning to the court after a seven month hiatus. Seeking advice on improving my tennis career, I conversed with my friend Tiger Woods – known for his fierce determination as a top athlete. “I aspire to be like you,” I confessed. To which he responded, “Serena, there’s no need to make grand commitments. Just give it your all each day during those two weeks and let fate take its course.” Recalling this conversation today brings me inspiration and motivation in pursuing my goals as an athlete.” Serena wrote fondly of that time period.

The ex-world number one tennis player made a comeback to Wimbledon but failed in the opening round. However, at the US Open marking her farewell tourney, Serena progressed further defeating Anett Kontaveit 2-1 on August 31st and advancing into third-round against Ajla Tomljanović two days later. The same day marked their entry together for Women’s doubles event first stage series as well. With hopes high she will procure victory that would match Margaret Court’s all-time record of winning 24 Individual Grand Slam titles at this year’s US Open women’s singles championship, fans eagerly await Serena Williams’ performance!
