Being the son of a PGA Tour legend and the man in the Masters green jacket is no small feat. Charlie Woods has always been compared to his father, and that may never stop. The ordeal at Rotor Lake Golf Club was tough for Tiger Woods’ son. He struggled with his shot at the Coulant Classic, and fans immediately began criticizing him. Charlie Woods received a lot of boos and jeers during qualifying for the Coulant Classic. A putt on No. 5 that went wide on his first drive prompted some nasty actions and words from PGA Tour fans. They quickly followed the ball and Woods continued his round. The 15-year-old then entered the fairway, clearly shaken. There were no barricades at Roto Lake Golf Club to protect the players, forcing disgruntled spectators to approach them.
One fan even yelled at PGA Tour officials after being asked to calmly leave the venue. “Who are you, Fire Chief?” were the words shouted by a fan who couldn’t get near Tiger Woods’ son, according to Emily Smear of the Palm Beach Post.
