Serena Williams has many fans, including some of the best athletes in the world. The 40-year-old star is playing in her final US Open, and no one wants to miss out on the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch her play before she retires. Serena, who has played professional tennis for 27 years, has been admired by many, most recently golf legend Tiger Woods. The golfer was sitting in Serena’s locker room with Venus Williams and other family and friends. The 46-year-old golf legend and Serena are so close that she asked Woods for advice before retiring. “I said, ‘I don’t know what to do. I think I’m done with everything, but maybe I’m not done with tennis yet,'” Serena told Vogue. “He’s a Tiger and he absolutely wanted me to be a beast like him! He said, ‘Serena, why don’t you just give her two weeks?’ He doesn’t need to be attached to anything. Just go out there every day for two weeks, give it your all and see what happens. I said, “Okay, I think you can do it.”
“Then I thought about playing Wimbledon and the US Open for a long time. Like I said, this whole evolution hasn’t been easy for me,” she added.
