Report: In order to rejoin the Ryder Cup and DP World Tour, Sergio Garcia needs to spend £1 million

According to the Telegraph, Sergio Garcia is the only player in LIV Golf who has not paid the original £100,000 fee and is reportedly in arrears of £893,000 in fines.

LIV According to James Corrigan of the Telegraph, Sergio Garcia of golf needs to pay just under £1 million in fines and penalties in order to play for the European Ryder Cup squad and return to the DP World Tour.

The 44-year-old Garcia informed the popular YouTube golfer on the Rick Shiels program that he was hoping to regain his DP World Tour card.

There is uncertainty about whether Garcia kept his pledge because the podcast was taped in November of last year but was only posted to Shiels’ channel last week.

Garcia clarified that he intended to participate in the DP World Tour four times or more in 2024, which is the needed minimum for membership.

That would have made it possible for the all-time leading scorer of Ryder Cup points in Europe to return to the fold, possibly as a competitor for the 2025 match at Bethpage Black in New York.
