Tiger Woods participated in talks with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) in the Bahamas, and discussions continue with fellow PGA Tour player directors about a potential partnership. The PGA Tour and PIF, which funds the independent LIV Golf Tour, have been in negotiations since June of last year, but progress towards a final agreement is slow as both sides have failed to reach a December 31, 2023 end target. However, discussions evolved after PIF Governor Yasser Al Rumayyan visited the Bahamas and met directly with PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and six of the tour’s player directors.
