BOSTON — Police in the Dominican Republic announced that a Venezuelan woman has been arrested in connection with the 2019 shooting death of Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz.

 

On Wednesday, the Dominican Republic National Police announced that Interpol had arrested Maria Fernanda Villasmil Manzanilla, 25, from Venezuela. Authorities said Manzanilla was being actively pursued and was the subject of a red indictment for his involvement in the shooting.
