Luke Littler scooped his latest title at the Swedish Darts Festival over the weekend alongside doubles partner Chris Dobey. The pair were on top form in Gothenburg, brushing aside their semi-final opponents before upsetting the crowd by defeating Swedish pair Viktor Tingstrom and Dennis Nilsson in the final.
Littler and Dobey got off to the perfect start against Wayne Mardle and Madars Razma, claiming an emphatic 2-0 victory to set up a final showdown with Tingstrom and Nilsson. Their Swedish opponents edged out Anton Ostlund and Andreas Harrysson in the last four before facing Littler and Dobey, who made their superiority count.
The English duo broke Tingstrom and Nilsson straight away in the final, with Dobey wrapping up the first leg by checking out 94. Littler then started the second leg with a 134 score before staying calm under pressure to seal the match with an 86 checkout.
Littler and Dobey share the same management company and were spotted in the stands watching Tottenham beat Bournemouth at the end of December. They would have faced each other in the semi-finals of the World Darts Championship had Dobey not lost to Rob Cross in the last eight.
