Mercedes had a terrible weekend in Melbourne, with Toto Wolff admitting he is doubting his future after Lewis Hamilton and George Russell failed to complete the race.

He said: “Toto Wolff still believes that this car can get there somehow, but obviously I don’t think Lewis Hamilton believes that. I think Lewis Hamilton thinks the rear of the car is suffering from the same poor handling characteristics that plagued the car last year and the year before that. And clearly this car is still not okay.
Mercedes had a terrible weekend in Melbourne. His high point was qualifying seventh on the grid, but even that modest feat was undermined by the fact that Hamilton could only set the 11th fastest time.
