Luke Littler has revealed he’s already spent a chunk of his earnings from darts on EA FC Ultimate Team packs. The young darts ace is a self-confessed devotee of the football video game and enjoys spending time on his console when not competing for big cash prizes at the oche.
Rewind 12 months and even the most avid of darts fans probably didn’t know who Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler was, but having reached the final of this year’s World Darts Championship, the 17-year-old has established himself as a household name. The Runcorn-born star pocketed a whopping £200,000 alone for making it to the final, with his current earnings for the year having already eclipsed the £250,000 mark.
And in a recent interview with the JaackMaate’s Happy Hour podcast, Littler opened up about some of the ways he’s spent his prize money, including the amount that’s been splashed out on EA FC Ultimate Team packs. When asked about how much of his winnings had been invested in the video game, Littler replied: “This year, about £1,800. Not that bad.”

Littler will be afforded the chance to add to his ever-growing prize pot when he returns to the Premier League stage later this week, with the televised tournament rolling into Belfast for its ninth night of action. While the World Championships runner-up may not have won a night so far, he still holds a strong chance of qualifying for the play-offs, with Littler one of three players locked on 13 points.
