If you wanted Tiger Woods’ Sunday red polo shirt, it’s already too late.
Woods’ brand, Sunday Red, launched its second line within a month, and the iconic red polo shirt was one of the many items hitting stores.
Tiger Woods’ apparel brand “Sunday Red” launched its second line on May 5th (Sunday), and red items have finally been added. No wonder it flew off the shelves.
Woods and Sunday Red announced “All Things Red” ahead of its release on Sunday. Within hours of its release, several pieces in the collection were already sold out.
After the first Hunt collection was released on Tuesday, fans complained about the lack of red items. But it didn’t take long to give people what they wanted.
The Delta PQ Polo is available in four colors, with only the smaller black remaining. The red polo shirt is arguably the most iconic golf attire since Tiger’s introduction.
He won 15 majors and 82 on the PGA Tour with his version of red. The meaning of his red polo shirt is related to his mother. Woods visited the Today Show to talk about Sunday Red and explain why it is his color. “My mom thought red was the color of power for me because I was born under the sign of Capricorn,” Woods said. “I wore red to several junior golf events in So Cal and won. After that, I wore blue in other tournaments, but I didn’t win. So I switched to red and was able to have more success with red.
This launch also includes Sunday Red’s first versions of his ‘Fermi Mock’ and ‘3D Knit Mock’ turtleneck polo shirts. The hats were also red and black. All hats from the Red Collection are also sold out. The Cypress tour towel was also missing. The red, silver, and black limited edition ball markers are no longer available.
The latest Sun Day Red collection “The Brave” introduced on the site has no release date yet. It appears Tiger will be at Valhalla Golf Club for the PGA Championship, as Sunday Red’s website lists Tiger’s attire for the week. The USGA also granted Woods a special exemption in May to compete in the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst.
