Rory McIlroy has reportedly filed for divorceRory McIlroy and his wife Erica Stoll have reportedly filed for divorce on the eve of this week’s US PGA at Valhalla, according to TMZ. The publication reports they have learned of court documents showing the 26-time PGA Tour winner submitted divorce papers in Florida on Monday.

That was the same day McIlroy, 35, flew home after having won a record fourth Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow on Sunday.

Really didn’t see this one coming — l not to participate in the annual Masters Par-3 Contest this year, and there was no sighting of Erica at Augusta National.The last time we spotted Erica with Rory was at the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone, Rome, in September 2023.

News shortly emerged after the Ryder Cup that McIlroy had made plans to move back to the UK ‘in a few years’ time’. But those plans have now likely changed off the back of this week’s news about McIlroy and Stoll’s divorce. TMZ states: “Reasons for the breakup were not made immediately available. We’ve reached out to McIlroy’s attorney for comment, but so far, no word back yet.”McIlroy and Stoll have been together for seven years and they share a young daughter, Poppy, together.Poppy was born in 2020.

The easy-going Feng went on to be the first Chinese player, man or woman, to win a major and lifted 10 LPGA titles during her 14 active years on the tour.  In 2017, Feng became the only Chinese golfer to date to reach the world No 1 ranking.  During a supremely consistent career, Feng registered 18 top-10 finishes in majors, two of them in 2021 even as she was winding down her playing commitments.
