Tiger Woods remains confident he can discover the kind of form to challenge with the best players in the world, but his second-round display at the PGA Championship has convinced some fans that is no longer possible.

The 48-year-old made history by making his 24th consecutive cut at Augusta last month. It was the first time that Woods played 72 holes for the first time in two years, but it was on weekends to forget the major champions that received 82 laps on Saturday 15 times.

Woods entered the Balhar Golf Club with improvement optimism and demonstrated promising features on Thursday.

A disappointing end to his round on Thursday with back-to-back bogeys prevented Woods from finishing in the red.

And it set a trend heading into Friday that only got worse for the golfing icon as he carded two triple bogeys in the opening four holes to all but prevent him from making the cut. He still managed to gain the approval of many visitors who decided to watch his every shot after making back-to-back birdies on the seventh and eighth holes.

But he parried those shots on holes 11 and 12 with two bogeys, giving him an eight-over-par lead for the tournament. Woods showed discouragement throughout the day as he struggled with his game.

And some viewers also didn’t appreciate seeing Woods appear on screen as much as he did during daytime coverage. Woods has given no indication that he plans to retire, but some think he should consider it.

One viewer moaned: “Tiger is doing real damage to his brand at this point. He cares. I am a conflict on the fierce fire in competition. However, if you can’t practice, you can’t play competitive golf. ”

Another said: “Tiger should hang up, this is embarrassing. It takes away places from young players who are trying to succeed. Tiger had a great career and attended classes, maybe too late, but still. ”

Tiger Woods will now turn his attention to next month’s US Open.

Woods will now turn his attention to next month’s U.S. Open at Pinehurst. The USGA confirmed that the three-time US Open champion was granted a special exemption to play in the major tournament.
