The PGA championship at Valhalla Golf Course in 2024 has revealed the interest of several golf fans around the world. MAYRA was published by Oak Hill Country Club last year, and since last year, it has been 10 % larger than the general public. A total of 4.958 million viewers around the world watched Xander Schauffele win the prestigious Wanamaker Trophy and his first major title in his nine-year professional career on the PGA Tour. The 2023 event was watched by 4.517 million viewers and saw Brooks and Koepka win his fifth major tournament. Bryson DeChambeau was the top LIV golfer at the 2024 PGA Championship, but X-user @ConwaysCorner took to the stage and said:

The second round of the 2024 PGA Championship averaged 1.61 million viewers, an 18% increase from last year due to the arrest of world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler before the round began. User X @panderson1988 commented on the increase in viewership due to the “drama” of being arrested in the middle of negotiations.

Bryson DeChambeau lost to 2024 PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele by one stroke. The LIV golf star shot rounds of 68, 65, 67 and 64 for a total score of 20 under par in a major, his highest PGA Championship score in his seven major appearances. DeChambeau reflected on his performance and spoke to the press during the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club:
“It’s disappointing on my part, but it doesn’t matter. I played well. I didn’t play my best this week and felt like I was on my B game. Basically, I got an A+ in putting, A+ in cleaning, A+ in short game, and B in driving. Shot T in par in a major championship.\”
Bryson DeChambeau\’s next start is scheduled to be at the 2024 U.S. Open in June.
