PGA Tour Board to get shocking Rory McIlroy shakeup amid surprising resignation

PGA Tourboard that shocked Rolly Makiroy’s re -shuffle on the way of a surprising resignation

Mcilroy can join the PGA tourboard again after one of the current members has resigned from his post.

Rory Mcilroy left the PGA Tour Policy Board last year, but now the North Irish people have found themselves. The Guardian reported that sources confirmed the four-time major winner is eligible to serve on the PGA Tour Policy Board and PGA Tour Enterprises director positions following Wednesday’s vote.

Current player-coach Webb Simpson resigned on Monday and called for McIlroy to be replaced. McIlroy resigned as manager last November, which came as a shock. Upon his departure, McIlroy said he wanted to focus more on his game. It is unclear whether he will accept the role.

The 24-time PGA Tour winner said he believes golf’s reputation has been tarnished in the process. This news comes a week after McIlroy squashed his own LIV Golf rumors and told the world he would play on the PGA Tour for the rest of his career.

His imminent return to the trenches could improve the morale of the members. DP World Tour and Fenway Sports Group may be satisfied with this development. The PGA tour has signed up to up to $ 3 billion with the Sports Consortium earlier this year. McIlroy and Tiger Woods have an existing relationship with FSG through TGL, a simulation golf league that launches in January 2025. However, the world No. 2 is also linked to Saudi Public Investment Fund Governor Yasir Al Rumayyan. Woods, Patrick Cantlay and Jordan Spieth are other board members voting on McIlroy’s possible return. McIlroy is in New Orleans this week with his playing partner Shane Lowry to compete in the Zurich Classic in New Orleans.
