Rory Mcilroy and Tiger Woods were seen by sharing a friendly moment in Valhalla Golf Club, despite the recent reports of the two -star tension on the PGA tour.

The two participated in the Kentucky PGA championship, but the headline was their contrasting political opinion. A long -standing friends are now also business partners before launching TGL, a golf innovation tournament with the participation of the best PGA Tour players.

Nevertheless, their relationship, as they say, “deteriorated” from different views on the ongoing PGA Tour Saga with LIV Golf in recent months. McIlroy, who resigned from the Tour’s political board last November, recently expressed interest in a return amid talks with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), but his application was rejected by directors current players, including Woods.

“It’s getting quite complicated and confusing,” he said last week. “I think there was some hurt and scars from what had happened before and there were parts of the board that didn’t like me coming back for that reason, for certain reasons. “I think the best solution is, if anybody’s not happy about him coming back, I think Webb Simpson should stay and finish out his term. He’s got to get to a place where he feels comfortable with that, I just have to keep doing what I’m doing.”

Despite reports of the altercation, the pair appear to remain on good terms, having been spotted chatting and smiling amicably in Kentucky. Asked about the differences with McIlroy at the event, Woods said: “It’s nice to have a different situation, but overall we want to see what’s best for all the players, the fans and the situation for the team.” “I’m doing it,” he commented. Golf, I don’t know yet how we’re going to get there. But what’s important is that we’re all in this together and fighting to make golf better. ”

At the same time, the four-time major champion admitted that the couple remains friends, despite their opposing views. “I mean, I think sometimes friends have disagreements and don’t see things, but I don’t think that’s the case. We don’t necessarily agree on things, we just have different opinions. There’s also,” McIlroy said. “I think that’s normal.

But no, I don’t. Last Friday, we had a very enjoyable 45-minute conversation about a variety of topics. No, I don’t feel nervous at all. I think we can look at the future of golf a little differently, but I don’t think it puts a strain on relationships and friendships. ”
