Tiger Woods is parting ways with his private island in Sweden.

The American golfer has listed the luxurious 61-acre site at Lake Malaren near Stockholm through European agency Vladi Private Islands. The advertisement describes the island as totally private, unique and exclusive.

“A private harbour, open fields, striking lake views and a tastefully designed main residence, a mini-mansion,” the ad says.

MINI MANSION: The villa on the Island is new and approximately 230-square-metres.

“The property even has a historical 11th century Viking stronghold, a dramatic landscape with approximately 30-metre high rocks, rising out of the lake.”

Not surprisingly, the island is a golfer’s paradise, with six tee-off areas.

It was reportedly one of the properties shared by the 14-time major winner and his ex-wife, Swedish-born former nanny and model Elin Nordegren.

BIGGER THAN IT LOOKS: The Island has untouched woods with deer, hares, elk and beavers. Probably what attracted the legendary golfer to the property in the first place.

However, the couple’s six-year marriage ended in 2010, after Woods admitted to cheating on Nordegren with several other women.

Nordegren is rumoured to have received a $US100 million payout for his indiscretions.

She then spent almost $US20 million on a new property in Florida, after agreeing to live within close proximity to Woods, for the sake of their two children.

That leaves an unused Swedish island up for grabs, which is no doubt on par with some of the finest properties in Scandinavia.

The island comes with a hunting lodge, a hot tub, a landing strip for small planes and helicopters, stables and a secluded 230-square-metre villa, made from the island’s own trees and using traditional Scandinavian construction methods.

“Apart from the island, the property also includes the two small Skinnpalsarna islands and a water area of around 207 hectares,” the ad says.

“The island boasts a variety of wildlife, such as deer, hares and beavers. Even elks can be seen on occasion. The protected location, combined with the quay’s generous dimensions, make it an ideal place for private parties and outdoor dining.

“The island is also unique due to its central location. The capital of Sweden is about an hour away by boat or car.”
