However, it has now emerged that the four-time major winner hired a police officer to serve the divorce papers to Stoll at their family home. According to court documents, Stoll, a New York native, was served with legal papers by a Palm Beach police officer who also handles legal proceedings for CW Services & Associates.
Woods showed up unannounced at the McIlroys’ luxury $22 million mansion in Jupiter at 10:30 a.m. ET on May 13 and handed McIlroy a copy of the divorce filing. Rory McIlroy has reportedly hired a private investigator to serve divorce papers on his wife Erica Stoll.
