Dodgers Named Potential Trade Suitors for 4-Time All-Star

The Los Angeles Dodgers could reunite with Kenley Jansen

The Los Angeles Dodgers, despite their success, still have holes to fill before the postseason. The July 30 trade deadline will be their last chance to address their needs before they make a World Series run. According to BLEACHER Report’s Brandon Scott, Dodeders can be an option that can be accessed by Boston Red Socks “Kenley Sansen”, “You can use HYST help”.

Janssen was named on a list of players that could be used at the end of trade, according to predictions. “Kenry Yanssen is as obvious as you find him. He probably signed a time -limited contract from the outside and looks at the photos of the wildcard Al.

The old doder can potentially return to Ross Angels. Red Sox want to trade Jansen The Red Sox are 28-27 and in third place in the American League East. It’s unlikely they’ll be able to knock off the New York Yankees or Baltimore Orioles and win the division. “Whether the Red Sox compete for a postseason berth, they can do so with or without Jansen, who is making $16 million this season before becoming a free agent,” Scott wrote.

According to USA TODAY’s Bob Nightengale, the Red Sox have “no interest” in bringing Jansen back as a free agent. “The Boston Red Sox plan to trade veteran All-Star Kenley Jansen at the trade deadline. He’s making $16 million this year and the Red Sox have no interest in bringing him back,” Nightengale wrote on May 28. Jansen has been named to the All-Star Game four times in his career, including in 2023. Three of Jansen’s All-Stars have worn a Dodgers uniform. His contract makes him a rental option for the Dodgers, who need to bolster their bullpen to realize their World Series aspirations.

Dodgers Bullpen

The Dodgers bullpen has the third-best ERA in MLB at 3.17. But injuries and depth remain issues for the group.

The closest player to a Dodgers spot right now is Daniel Hudson. However, he will replace Evan Phillips, who is on the injured list. Before the injury, Phillips converted eight of eight save opportunities. Hudson – three out of five.

“The Dodgers’ bullpen woes should be resolved as their four injured right-handers — Evan Phillips, Ryan Brazier, Brusdar Graterol and Joe Kelly — return to health,” wrote Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Even so, they could probably use another type of save to pair with Phillips in the late innings, perhaps with someone like their old Red Sox friend Kenley Jansen.

Jansen has nine saves this season and a 3.06 ERA. He appeared in 18 games this season as part of the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series team. Jansen has 429 career saves over his 15 seasons in the majors. He recorded 350 of those saves as a member of the Dodgers from 2010-2021. In that span, he had a 2.37 ERA in 701 appearances.

Phillips is likely locked into the closer role when he returns. However, Jansen gave the Dodgers another option in the ninth inning. On the other hand, they could use Jansen.
