Reports of a deteriorating relationship between Lori Makila and Tiger Woods became reality on Thursday at the PGA Championship when a frosty exchange between the pair was caught on camera.
When the two paths crossed in Valhalla, they didn’t even meet on the first day of the tournament, let alone say hello. As of this writing, Woods is 1-over after 10 holes and McIlroy is 1-under after 11 holes.
The interaction, or lack thereof, comes amid a Golf Digest report that said the relationship between Woods and McIlroy has “deteriorated over the past six months” but they “remain amicable.” Masilra resigned from the PGA Tour Council in November, but Northern Ireland returned to the role in recent weeks as the organization held talks with Liv Golf.
