Fox sports analyst compares Karen DeBoer’s winning qualities to Tiger Woods

Karen DeBoer is a very good college football coach, but does he have the winning instincts of the greatest golfer of his generation?

National media pundits have started conversations comparing DeBoer to Tiger Woods. Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt made the comparison on the Next Round Show on WJOX 94.5 FM in Birmingham, Ala. Klatt said Woods was a technically proficient and experienced winner during his dominance in golf. At his peak, Woods won 15 major championships, including five Masters, four PGA Championships, three US Open titles and three Open Championship titles.

“I’m not trying to say he’s the greatest player of all time, but Tiger was saying, ‘I have to be technically proficient at my craft, but I also have to learn how to win.’ you see, he was good at winning. We see a lot of these sheltered golfers, they never play a match and they never win, but they look beautiful swinging a golf club, they’re technically good, but they’re not competitive. Karen DeBoer is a competitive professional. This guy has won at an incredibly high level everywhere he goes and for that reason I am optimistic. I think this will work, it just looks a little different. I’m happy he was recruited here at such a high level and had success. The fact that he’s doing well in recruiting is a big plus for his cap.

Klatt can’t wait to see what this Alabama team does, but thinks DeBoer is a very good coach. *Obtain the best information about the start of soccer in Alabama, and get advertising, access to lighting, and lighting right now! Register here and unlock the content only for the subcliver! *
