BREAKING: Jon Rahm makes impressive return to PGA Tour, announces retirement from LIV Golf
The 29-year-old Masters champion’s big move to Saudi-backed LIV Golf sent another shockwave through the sports world.
Masters winner Jon Rahm joined Saudi Arabia-funded LIV Golf for a fee that reportedly exceeds the total prize money of the PGA Tour, but the blow widens a rift in the golf world as the two countries negotiate a trade deal. RAM confirmed this decision in an interview with Fox News on Thursday. Wearing a black jacket with the LIV logo, he said it was a difficult solution.
\”I was very happy,\” Lam said. \”But there are a lot that Liv Golf has to offer that very attractive.\”
He said that he would keep the amount of the agreement in the middle of the reports which put his remuneration in the range of $ 500 million, which would likely include equity in his new team. The total value of the PGA Tour tournaments in 2023 is about $460 million. The move comes just 25 days before the June 6 deadline for the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund to sign a deal to become commercial partners of a for-profit enterprise along with the European Tour.
