On Sunday, Lee and Biles floated the idea of ”redemption” in the form of a return to another Olympic Games. “We weren’t in the best circumstances…but I feel like we have a lot of weight on our shoulders to prove that we’re the best athletes,” Biles said. “We’re more mature, we’re smarter, we’re more consistent.”

“I know we are stronger than what we showed in Tokyo. So I think it has to be for us, because it can’t be for anybody else, because that’s not why we’re doing it. We’re doing this for ourselves, for the love of the sport and the love of representing the United States,” she said. “So we’re just going to go out there and do our best.”

Biles touched on a number of other topics, including how she defines success, having the support of her husband, Jonathan Owens, and what she plans to do.
