Bob McIntyre has received an official endorsement from Jack Nicklaus

This finally proves he’s been doing everything right all this time. The Oban star continues his magical rise in the game as he heads into his 152nd British Open Championship following a thrilling win at the Genesis Scottish Open. McIntyre is now a world class player. He is ranked 16th in the world. And his ability to make key decisions at key times has proven crucial.

Moving to the US late last year was a risky undertaking. In truth, this was a fight that even he himself admitted he was ready to give up in no time. It was never easy, but there was a reason for it. The resulting benefits are now clear, opening up further opportunities for him to continue forging his own path. When MacIntyre achieved his first PGA Tour success early last month by winning the Canadian Open, it came at the end of a string of successful events. He needed the time off due to a busy summer schedule that includes the upcoming Genesis Scottish Open and The Open. MacIntyre’s decision to withdraw from the Nicklaus Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village sparked protests, mainly in the United States.

The easy-going Feng went on to be the first Chinese player, man or woman, to win a major and lifted 10 LPGA titles during her 14 active years on the tour. In 2017, Feng became the only Chinese golfer to date to reach the world No 1 ranking. During a supremely consistent career, Feng registered 18 top-10 finishes in majors, two of them in 2021 even as she was winding down her playing commitments.
