Simone Biles and Suni Lee took over on Thursday in the women’s all-around final of the 2024 Paris Olympics. It was Biles who bagged the gold — for a record sixth time in the Summer Games — after turning in a performance that was worthy of her GOAT status.
Lee, on the other hand, also put on a show as she finished third behind Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade. The 21-year-old American is now a two-time Olympic all-around medalist after also winning gold in the same event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Biles, Andrade and Lee all took the podium for their medal presentation, which was an understandably emotional moment for all three athletes. Once they got their respective medals placed around their necks, Lee made sure to capture the iconic moment with an epic podium selfie.
