Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles put on an epic display of athletic prowess at the Paris Olympics on Monday, winning silver and bronze medals in the floor exercise.
Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade won the gold medal, sealing her return to the Olympics. She suffered three ACL tears during her career and a win in the floor exercise was only the second gold medal of her career.

Biles and Chiles decided to bow to the 25-year-old gymnast. During her career, Andrade won six Olympic medals.
When a photo of Biles and Chiles bowing to Andrade went viral, Baltimore Ravens star cornerback Marlon Humphrey fired criticism. “This is literally disgusting,” the three-time Pro Bowler wrote in an X.
Humphrey received backlash from the post. Andrade finished the Paris Olympics with four medals: she won silver in the individual all-around and on vault. She also won bronze in the team final with Brazil.

“I have great respect for her. “She’s a very good competitor,” Biles said of Andrade on NBC’s “Today.” “She keeps me on my toes. It’s an honor to compete against her.”

She gave Biles and the American people everything she had. Biles also won four medals at the Paris Olympics, finishing with 11 medals in total.
At a press conference, she joked that she didn’t want to compete against Andrade again. “I’ve never had athletes so close to me before,” Biles added. “It definitely kept me sharp and brought out the best athlete in me.” So I’m excited and proud to be competing with her, but no.
