On the court, Angel Reese is establishing herself as a star forward for the Chicago Sky in the WNBA. Reese has already smashed the league record for rebounds in a single season less than four months after her professional debut, and she was named an All-Star out of respect for her defensive impact and nonstop motor. Her Sky are in the mix for the eighth and final playoff spot with only a handful of regular-season games remaining.
Off the court, Reese is an emerging fashion icon with a rapidly-expanding portfolio of brand endorsements — something she began assembling by leveraging her name, image, and likeness while playing for Maryland and LSU in college. Ahead of the release of her first podcast episode, the “Unapologetically Angel” X/Twitter account posted a photo of Reese in the studio. The one-time “Bayou Barbie” has since become a “Chi-Town Barbie”, and Reese appears to be paying some homage to that nickname with a loud, all-pink outfit — worn during the recording of her debut pod.

On Friday, Reese will return to the court for a must-win game against the Los Angeles Sparks, as the Sky look to get closer to the playoffs. While the 22-year-old continues to engender criticism for her offensive inefficiency and even just existing, Reese has made it clear that she is not going to go away.
On the contrary, Reese will be more visible than ever if the impending podcast drop is any indication. Her “haters” are going to have to find another way to deal with such a multi-faceted figure, whose first podcast episode drops Thursday at 5 p.m. Eastern time.
