DAVE CHISNALL is the darts giantkiller who prepared to topple a legend while holding the baby.

Chizzy Rascal’s routine over Christmas, before he dumped Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor out of the Ladbrokes world championship, included beating a practice partner 7-1 – while cradling three-month-old daughter Lexie Rose.

Hours after his 4-1 thrashing of 15-times champion Taylor, Chisnall retreated to a social club in Mill Hill, near his north London hotel, to keep his golden arm ticking over.

Tattooed on his left forearm, he showed off the inspiration behind the biggest shock ever witnessed by the fancy dress battalions at Alexandra Palace.

Chisnall, 31, turned his demolition of the Power into child’s play, outgunning the legend 8-3 in terms of 180-maximums. Taylor was gracious in defeat, refusing to spit out his dummy, but plenty of that lies ahead for Chizzy when he’s in charge of his daughter.

He said: “I try to do my share of looking after the baby – Michaela is very good and does a lot of it, but if she needs a rest, or wants to go out, I will do my share of changing nappies.

“I try to fit my practice around the baby’s routine, but I’ve actually played a couple of games against mates while holding Lexie Rose under one arm and throwing darts with the other.

“My baby hates being put down, but if you pick her up and put her on your arm she loves it – she doesn’t cry, she doesn’t move. But the moment you put her down again she starts crying.
