<span;>DARTS icon Phil Taylor has given his fans a health update after having an operation that left him on crutches.
<span;>
<span;>The 63-year-old has been battling painful arthritis in his hip.
<span;>

<span;>Since retiring from professional darts in 2018, “The Power” has been competing on the World Seniors Tour.
<span;>
<span;>The 16-time world champion has struggled for form, including a disappointing first-round exit at the Senior Championships in February because of his arthritis.
<span;>
<span;>To get back on track Taylor underwent surgery in June to tackle the issue and has since been on crutches.
<span;>
<span;>But over the weekend the darts legend has reached out to his fans via social media with a health update.

<span;>In a video message, Taylor said: “Hi everybody, Phil the Power. Just to let you know I’ve had my operation, everything’s fine because a lot of people have been asking me about it. I’m off my crutches now which is great.

<span;>“It’s been three weeks on Monday. So another three weeks and I’ll be on the practice board getting ready for the seniors.
<span;>
<span;>“Hopefully now everything will be back to normal, that’s the plan. See you soon, keep well, stay safe.”
<span;>
<span;>Taylor is determined to finish his career on a high and is set to compete at the World Seniors Matchplay this October at York’s Barbican.
